You’ve Never Seen What You’ve Always Needed to Know – Until Now
Invisible forces are at work. They push and shove on everything you buy or sell. They affect every concept you want to take to market, all the suppliers you’ll deal with, and every customer you’ll ever see. To be successful, you need to understand them.
See them in detail in ways not possible with other methods.
Hypernomics: Using Hidden Dimensions to Solve Unseen Problems discovers that markets behave according to previously unknown laws set by the buyers and sellers within them. It reveals those rules and how to detect, describe, and deploy them to your advantage. It doesn’t change economics so much as reveal it.
It’s like a microscope looking at pond water, a telescope tilted to the sky, sonar scanning the bottom of the ocean. Hypernomics lets you see into markets in ways you can’t with the unaided eye.
Sailors never navigate without a map. You shouldn’t either, since your ship could wind up on the rocks. Hypernomics gives you the means to create market maps that show you where they have openings and how to fill them by giving customers what they want, don’t have, and can afford. It finds their thresholds and limits and responses to every possible feature in any product you can offer. The interactions Hypernomics describes have been with us since the dawn of humanity. Now you can finally see them and enjoy the advantages your competitors do not have.
Validated by 13 published papers, multiple awards, a patent, and customers such as NASA, Lockheed Martin, Virgin Galactic, and a restaurant down the street, only Hypernomics gives you the ability to solve problems as varied as
- How could a restaurant increase revenue by 25% by rearranging seating?
- How do you find, describe, and capitalize on open spaces in your market?
- What happens when an NFL player decreases his forty-yard dash time by a quarter of a second?
- If you tried to exceed a market’s limitations, how could you lose $1B?
- How do markets change over time?
Know what you need to. Discover Hypernomics.

This book is an excellent resource for anyone who deals in numbers or comparisons of products for investment or other commercial bid/ no bid decisions; also many government processes require some form of assurance analysis for use of public funded projects. Thoroughly and well researched.
The book initially covers the basics that reveal what you thought you knew was not totally correct, this is done in a clear manner with good examples. The movement into Hypernomics follows and introduces the reader to 3 and 4 dimensional representations of a variety of project types and data – this is an eye opener for those used to traditional comparative techniques used in ‘check estimates, or Reference Class Forecasts. The multi- dimensional methods offer a much improved view of how and where a project sits against competitors or within a historical context against like or similar projects.
In my view this book is a must have for anyone involved with business decisions both commercially and in the public services, use of the techniques will really help their processes.
The book is on a par with Kahneman’s title “Noise”.

This is masterful and important work on applied economics. It stresses the importance of quantifying and understanding product value and demand for all markets. Rejecting the ivory tower notions of academic economics in favor of what happens in the real world, the author highlights the importance of collecting and analyzing data and considering multiple inputs/dimensions. The author provides evidence, tools, and techniques to analyze and visualize multidimensional data, which you can apply in doing your own analysis.
If you work in industry or government, you will benefit from this book as the author clearly demonstrates that the laws of value and demand apply to government projects just like they do in industry. The author applies his approach to a variety of applications such as football analytics and optimization of restaurant revenue, demonstrating that data-driven analysis can be used to improve any kind of business or government endeavor. I highly recommend this book for everyone.
Key concepts and sophisticated tools for developing and quantifying market maps
As someone who has been in the business of estimating and modeling costs for forty-plus years, I found that this book offers unique insights that may benefit anyone who needs an in-depth understanding of markets and how they operate.
One of the central themes of the book is that the market tells you what it wants, doesn’t have, and can afford, not the other way around.
Hypernomics provides readers with key concepts and sophisticated analytical tools for developing and quantifying market maps based on both value and demand. These concepts and tools may enable both entrepreneurs and established businesses to avoid losing millions of dollars as a result of not fully understanding the relationship between their pricing structures and the demand frontiers for their products.
Highly recommended.

Rich Harwin
A Boeing defense contract expert with 35+ years in estimating, risk modeling, cost analysis, and proposal assessments, specializing in affordability and business case analysis.
Doug has developed techniques and provides practical examples that raise cost analysis to a new level. And does it in an easy to understand and entertaining approach. In this he has only begun to probe its potential.
Hypernomics has the ability to present to its user where your potential solution lies relative to competition. And then allows you to adjust your bid, both technically and financially. As well as provide the ability to tell afterward why you lost.
This book belongs on the bookshelf of every estimator, economist, and program manager. Its logical approach to value analysis for decision-makers transcends the traditional stratified processes of cost estimating, price negotiating, and purchase decision making. Parametric cost estimating was the hot discipline sixty years ago; now it is hypernomics-based processes. I wish I had access to this multi-dimensional point of view then – and had been better able to compare different results of alternative methods for estimating future weapons systems.
Doug Howarth, an experienced systems engineer and cost analyst, has packaged a movable business approach to “…value and demand” which most of us can understand and apply to “… solving unseen problems” in the high-technology supply-and-demand marketplace.
Remember, the “cost estimate” is not the end product. It is only one means to the end – the decision.
The included real-world value-based case studies alone are worth the price of the book which help update insight and understanding to the old rules of supply and demand. So are the graphics which guide the reader through some unique mathematical examples.

INSANELY MIND-BLOWING & GAME CHANGING! YOU MUST READ THIS!!
Forget “evolutionary” – Hypernomics is a truly revolutionary take on economics. Doug Howarth and his team have shattered the limitations of Neoclassical theory, offering a paradigm shift that’s nothing short of radical.
This book demands focus. The scientific and mathematical concepts require close attention (and maybe a re-read or two), but the payoff is immense. Once it clicks, Hypernomics will blow your mind wide open.
Here’s the key takeaway: for 248 years, businesses have been operating under a fundamentally flawed model. Neoclassical economics might work for basic commodities like gold, but it fails most enterprises. This flawed approach, based on the limited “law of supply and demand,” has likely cost trillions and driven countless companies to bankruptcy.
The answer? Hypernomics, a new framework based on the Law of Value and Demand. With the MEE4D software as your guide, Hypernomics empowers you to make smarter business decisions and avoid the pitfalls of the past.
In short, Hypernomics is a must-read for anyone who wants to truly understand markets and learn how to properly price their products and find new gaps in the market that are low or even free of competition.
As Doug said it in his book “But a few hundred hours of effort spent before product launch can prevent failure and help you make a few extra million dollars. That must be worth your time”
Notably achievements: He predicted the collapse and bankruptcy of Aerion using his Hypernomics equations, they went under in 2021 and he’s beaten the S&P for over 40 months and by 1.6x, even crushing Berkshire Hathaway. LOL WILD!
This is game changing modeling my friends, any product manufacturer or tangible asset player needs to employ the Hypernomics analysis into their game plan to maximze profits, find incredible deals and/or significantly mitigate risk of going bankrupt or loosing millions 🙂
Don’t sleep on this book, I strongly believe this is the future for economic analysis predictions.
